The Muppets: Ranking Every Movie From Worst To Best

8. Muppets From Space

Slapping the label 'worst Muppets movie' onto one of these films is no easy task. In fact, it would be more suitable to label this the least entertaining of the franchise rather than being necessarily bad. Anything with the Muppets involved will have some redeeming factors because the characters are just so charming and irresistibly funny, but Muppets From Space should probably go down as the least rounded or satisfying of all the films. That being said, it's hard to see what makes this one the worst movie on the list. Maybe it had something to do with the human cast - there's only so much David Arquette can do right - or that the jokes just seem to fall flat. Earlier installments had such reliable performances from guest stars and some truly memorable comedic moments that stuck with the audience for years to come, but Muppets From Space really lacks in that department. Kudos to the efforts of the production team who attempt to answer the question of what the hell Gonzo actually is, but this Muppet movie does not fully capture the magic that made the others so special. In fact, it's kind of boring.

I love all things imaginative, from the page to the screen, and nurture a soft spot for Donald Sutherland and Daniel Bryan.
