9. The Pod People (1983)
Summary: After the phenomenal success of Steven Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, a glut of half-hearted knock-offs followed. This was one of the worst. I would summarize the plot for you, except it is literally the plot of E.T, only not as good. In fact, painful (oh, and the alien's name is Trumpy). See the sample below if you don't believe me.
Why It Stinks: Not only is the plot a 100% knock-off of a better film, this one does throw in a few additional subplots, and then randomly skips between them with no reason or explanation. Some of the subplots don't even tie into the overall movie, and the ones that do just kill off all the characters they introduced.
