New A DANGEROUS METHOD French Poster Will Give You A Headache!

The distributors have done such a bang up job on their poster, you can't even stare at it for more than a second!

It's a big month for A Dangerous Method, the long awaited next movie from David Cronenberg as a Venice film festival premiere is booked for the next few weeks, then the hopeful Awards season drama hits the Toronto and New York Film Festivals soon after, before Sony Pictures Classic begin a limited U.S. release on November 23rd. Clearly Sony Pictures believe they have a strong runner in the Oscar race on their hands and are giving it the kind of showcase that naturally brings with it huge expectations. An adaptation of Christopher Hampton€™s 2002 dialogue heavy play €œA Talking Cure€, Cronenberg's three character period drama focuses close friends Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen) and Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender), the founding fathers of psychoanalysis and the Russian-Jewish beauty Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley), a patient who came between them. Foreign distributor for the movie Mars Films offer us a new French poster for the film which is very, very odd and kind of gives you a headache if you look at it too long; Surprisingly for a movie that has so much bed-hopping and is just as much a study about sex than anything else... they have gone with a very tame poster! Still we are looking forward to this one as a highlight of the Venice Film Festival and with A History of Violence and Easter Promises, Cronenberg sure is on a roll lately...
