New Alien: Covenant Trailer Coming Tomorrow

In the meantime, we've got a rather creepy new poster to keep us going.

The Alien: Covenant hype shuttle is really picking up speed.

After last week's four-minute prologue, which you can read more about here, we've now got a creepy new poster for the movie, and the promise of a new trailer:

We've already had one fairly solid look at the movie back in December, but it could still do more to convince a wider audience, and this new footage is probably the best chance it has of doing that. The trailer is also going to have a red-band version, which will play before Logan in cinemas, so we can expect it to get even darker and scarier, but hopefully without giving too much away.

The poster, which simply tells us to 'hide', is very much in keeping with the marketing, which has positioned this film far closer to the original Alien movie than its predecessor Prometheus. The one-sheet is reminiscent of the poster for the 1979 movie, with the solitary word and picture of an alien egg on a dark background.

This time, though, it's even more foreboding - the colour is a lot darker - which doesn't spell good news for the new crew, who all pretty much have to die anyway.

Alien: Covenant will be released on May 19. Are you excited for the movie? Let us know down in the comments.
