New Ant-Man Posters Provide First Proper Look At A Major Character

Bobby Cannavale gets his (out-of-focus) moment in the spotlight.

Marvel have just released some new posters for Ant-Man and, unlike the Avengers-baiting ones from a couple of weeks ago, they're pretty cool, showing the film's primary cast interacting with a shrunken version of the tiny titular hero. There's a nice bit of diversity to the designs, which give a little summation of the various characters - Scott Lang is holding Yellowjacket, Darren Cross is trying to crush the superhero, Hope Van Dyne is flicking him off her arm. What's most interesting about these, however, is that Bobby Cannavale has his own poster. The increasingly-prominent actor has been mostly absent from Ant-Man's marketing (thus far he's only popped up on the main One Sheet) and the specifics of his character Paxton are still (at least officially) unclear, so seeing him here gives hope he'll have a large part to play in events. Ant-Man's marketing campaign has been a mixed bag, but going into the final month things are picking up - there's a clearer tone now than with the original teaser. Let's just hope the TV spots don't ruin all of the cool moments. For now, check out all the posters below.
Ant-Man is out worldwide on 17th July, 2015.
