New Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween Trailer Reveals More Monsters
"Halloween is alive."
It's been a whole three years since we last saw Goosebumps grace the big screen, but the sequel - titled Haunted House - is right around the corner.
And today, Sony Pictures have unveiled a brand new trailer for the film, which stars the likes of Ken Jeong (Community, The Hangover), Jeremy Ray Taylor (Ant-Man, It: Chapter One), and Chris Parnell (Archer, Rick and Morty) in leading roles. The new look at the sequel also shows off some of the impressive-looking monsters drawn from the books of R. L. Stine, including the return of Slappy the Dummy, who yes, is still just as creepy as you remember him.
Centred around a group of kids who uncover a lost manuscript in an address formerly occupied by Stine, thereby inadvertently kickstarting a Halloween apocalypse led by Slappy, the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster comedy is bringing twice as many ghouls, goblins and gremlins to the table, and even (perhaps coolest of all) a giant spider - comprised entirely out of black and purple balloons.
October is still a few months away, and though Jack Black isn't due to reprise his role from the first film, it's looking increasingly likely that Goosebumps 2 will kick off spooky season with a bang.
