Over a dozen new photos have been released for Ridley Scotts Prometheus, thanks to Kino Gallery. If you are trying to go into this one cold, you might want to avoid these and there will be some spoilers in the rest of the article. Amongst the new photos are images of the main crew scientists Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and love interest Holloway (Tom-Hardy-lookalike Logan Marshall-Green), ships captain Janek (Idris Elba), botanist Milburn (bespectacled Rafe Spall), geologist Fifield (ginger-mohawk-wearing Sean Harris), ships android David (Michael Fassbender) and corporate type Vickers (Charlize Theron) as well as a number of behind the scenes shots of Ridleys team at work. Prometheus is a sci-fi film, written by former Lost showrunner Damon Lindelof, about a group of scientists on an expedition to discover the answers to the question why are we here? It is the prequel to Alien, although it has been stated that the film will only connect to the franchise in the films closing minutes. It is Scotts first sci-fi film for over 30 years. Images include Therons Vickers sporting what looks like a weapon of sorts, and various shots of the team exploring through shadowy caverns. If you have seen the trailer, you will know that the expedition does not go smoothly, and these images go some way to reinforcing that. But what happens will be revealed when the film is released on June 8th.
