The new Prometheus IMAX trailer has landed and it's like no other trailer out there. What a tease which actually shows a lot more footage than I expected it to as it zips through new footage at breakneck speed and has us salivating at the mouth here at What Culture. You can watch it below; http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=AXLzJhZa8PY#! AMC and 20th Century Fox are actually due to release a different Prometheus trailer later today which should be double in length to this one and which will be accompanied by a Damon Lindelof and Ridley Scott Q & A session. As we all know by now, Prometheus is legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott's much anticipated return to the sci-fi genre, specially the same universe as his classic Alien film in 1979, that spawned a profitable and long-running franchise. The ensemble film will center on a team of space explorers searching for the origins of mankind and are played by Noomi Rapace (scientist Elizabeth Shaw), Charlize Theron (Meredith Vickers), Michael Fassbender (the android David), Idris Elba (Janek), Logan Marshall-Green (Charlie Holloway) with supporting roles for Patrick Wilson, Rafe Spall, Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong and more in an Alien esque international all star cast. Although much of the film is still shrouded in mystery (and we have to admit we are happy that is true), we did get a big juicy tease by a studio released viral video on the TED website which depicted Guy Pearce's Peter Weyland delivering a TEDTalk in the year 2023. You can see that video below; http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dxdx4Qd-_yg Prometheus is due June 1st.
