New Star Wars: The Force Awakens International TV Spot Shows Off Its Light Side

Finn has his Samwise Gamgee moment.

A new international TV spot for The Force Awakens has been unleashed on YouTube, and it has a couple of exciting new glimpses at the imp-aerial dogfights in the film. Oscar Isaac does a charming introduction in Spanish, after which we get some cool interaction between Black Squad Leader Poe Dameron and his Red and Blue Squad Leaders (the latter of which looks like Lando's little mate from Return of the Jedi). See it for yourself below! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-ljmfTbHEc Check out that awesome Millenium Falcon footage (with bonus BB-8 noises!). Finn's comment on his shooting really reminded me of Sam Gamgee's "I think I'm getting the hang of this!" frying pan line from The Lord of the Rings, which is fine; Finn is a grunt, a footsoldier who has about as much experience operating the gun on a modified YT-1300 freighter as he does wielding a lightsaber. It's also nice to see Finn and Rey working as a team in trying to evade the TIE Fighters on their tail; it only just occurred to me whilst watching the TV Spot that over the course of the trilogy we'll get to see a really nice friendship develop between these two. Whether that could become a romantic entanglement is anyone's guess; they could probably throw Poe Dameron in there for another classic love triangle. Although hopefully this time it won't transpire that two of them are related. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released on 17th December in the UK and 18th December in the US - two weeks people!
