Newcastle's Blue & Green Third Kit Revealed [Images]

Better late than never guys.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Newcastle United have unveiled a third kit for the already ONE MONTH IN 2014/15 season. It's two coloured with a split right down the middle, half dark blue and half green with green shorts and is showcased in the official promo images by defenders Daryl Janmaat, Fabricio Coloccini and Mike Williamson and will go on sale at 9am on Saturday ahead of Newcastle's next game against Hull on City. Via an official club statement, the new kit is eye-catching and at least noticeably different to recent seasons but Newcastle have admitted to have been "heavily inspired" by a third kit won during The Magpies' first two seasons in the Premier League way back between 1993 and 1995. The kit design was actually chosen by the NUFC fan forum who voted for this design from a shortlist of others. Here's how that garb looked back in the day; Nufc3rd93 Wht Newcastle have revealed that the new kit will make its debut in the club's new league away game against Stoke City in front of Sky cameras for the Monday Night Football encounter on September 29th. Lee Charnley, managing director at Newcastle United, said in the press release: "We wanted to involve our supporters in the design and approval process for this kit and as such we presented a number of options to Fans Forum members. "We are delighted to unveil this kit, chosen by those members, which I am sure our players and fans will wear with pride." Strange as it may seem to unveil a new kit this far into the new campaign, it's also eye-raising about the mysterious kit that was used in Newcastle's pre-season home friendly against Real Sociedad last month. That all white kit was used in that game and then forgotten with Newcastle unveiling a silver away kit.
