Oldman confirms three roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Three Gary Oldman performances for the price of one. That's what you get with this live action motion captured technology though I've never quite understood why Robert Zemeckis in both The Polar Express and this movie wants to use the same faces for several parts?

/Film have confirmed a report from late last year that Gary Oldman has a role in A Christmas Carol, well three actually...
€œI play Marley, Bob Cratchit, and Tiny Tim,€ Oldman told /Film at the Dark Knight junket. €œI saw the designs, and the realizations of London and the characters. The design of it, and the look of it, is beautiful. It€™s quite stunning. It should be quite magical.€
He isn't the only one in the movie playing multiple parts. Jim Carrey has been on board since day one as Ebenezer Scrooge himself and bizarrely the three Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. In the interview which you can read HERE he goes on to mention that Zemeckis is doing things with his production that just wouldn't be possible with live action and that they are very much redefining our image of the story, apparently closer to have Charles Dickens saw it when he imagined it. I like the intentions sure but can anyone point out to me where Dickens stated the three ghosts of Scrooge, actually looked like Scrooge? Still, I've thought for a while that A Christmas Carol could be magnificent in this technology. Just hope it doesn't turn out like The Polar Express because there won't be big monsters or action sequences to divert our attention from the creepiness of the technology this time around.
