The return of Quentin Tarantino was always going to be a big deal, but luckily the director's next feature has long since sounded like a surefire winner. And now, with the release of the first teaser trailer, it certainly looks like one too.

As the marketing has been so keen to remind us, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is the 9th film from Tarantino, and his first since 2015's The Hateful Eight. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie (as well as about half of Tinsel Town in various supporting roles), the movie takes place in the Hollywood of 1969, following DiCaprio's TV star Rick Dalton, his stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt), and the actress Sharon Tate (Robbie).

Marketing has been ramping up in the last couple of days, with poster reveals featuring DiCaprio & Pitt and a solo one of Robbie, but now the teaser should really ramp up the hype levels ahead of the movie's release on August 14th in the UK (it comes to the US on July 26, 2019). The film's already being mooted as a likely Oscar-contender, which comes with the Tarantino territory really, and this doesn't do much to dispel that.

With the premise and cast, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood had our curiosity. Now, it's got our attention.
