Oscars 2013 Live: Anne Hathaway Wins Best Supporting Actress

LesMisAnneHathaway600 The Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at this year's Academy Awards ceremony has gone to Anne Hathaway for her brief but exceptional performance in Les Miserables. And truly deserved, despite the comparatively short screen time given to her in Tom Hooper's epic musical, which is perhaps why this one was considered the most likely of all of tonight's victories. Highlights of her humble speech: "Thanks to the Academy for this, and for nominating me." "There are so many people whose generosity and support is the reason I'm standing here now. I must thank Hugh Jackman, the cast, the crew, the creative team behind Les Miserables, my team..." The beaten nominees were Jacki Weaver for Silver Linings Playbook, Amy Adams for The Master, Sally Field for Lincoln and Helen Hunt for The Sessions. None can be particularly upset or surprised given the ferocious emotional impact of Hathaway's performance. What do you think of this win? Share your thoughts below.
