Planet Hulk Film: Top 5 Candidates To Direct

5. Jonathan Liebesman

jl-clashWho? This may be the most controversial of selections, but hear me out. Although he has not made a critically acclaimed film, Jonathan Liebesman is still a very profitable director and has a love for large-scale films. He had recently directed the Clash of the Titans sequel, Wrath of the Titans. He was also selected to make the long awaited yet criticized reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, titles Ninja Turtles. He unique visual flair is usually brought down with a bad script and/or cast. Why Should He Be Involved? It€™s not the director that made the terrible Titans sequel that I want directing the Incredible Hulk sequel; it€™s the filmmaker that made the very underrated film Battle Los Angeles that I would like to see given the opportunity to prove himself. Battle Los Angeles was not well received by most critiques, but I believe that over time it will reach cult status. The film is a large and epic war movie that still maintains to hit on a personal note as you follow a group of Marines trying to fight off an alien invasion. The Planet Hulk story focuses on the Hulk and a group of gladiators who form a rebellion to defeat a ruthless dictator. With his experience with stylized action films and with the help of Joss Whedon guiding him every step of the way, I think Liebesman€™s Hulk could be a great addition to the Marvel cinematic universe.
