Who Should Play Doctor Strange?

"I believe what doesn't kill you simply makes you... stranger."

After a long period of Marvel toying with the idea of putting a Doctor Strange movie into production, the studio have finally revealed that they've found a director for the long-awaited comic book flick in Sinister's Scott Derrickson, whose upcoming movie - horror/crime yarn Deliver Us From Evil - is set for a release in July. Well, at least, Scott Derrickson announced on his Twitter feed - via an image - that his follow-up project will be the highly anticipated "Strange." Derrickson seems like a good fit for the material, of course, even if he wasn't an obvious choice for the gig. Despite a few nagging flaws, Sinister - which starred Ethan Hawke as a true crime writer trying to solve a murder - was a well-put together little horror. And so, as with every Marvel movie, the speculation machine is about to kick into gear, as MCU fans and comic books lovers alike begin to ponder who will take the lead role as the titular Doctor. Any casting thoughts? Our pick goes to the brilliant Joseph Gordon-Levitt, a highly capable and hugely popular actor who is yet to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and would without a doubt do justice to one of Marvel's most inherently interesting characters. There have been rumours already that Gordon-Levitt is already the studio's number one choice for the role, and given that the guy certainly deserves to enter the realms of the MCU in a big way, the mere thought has us feelin' all giddy. But who do you think should take the role? Let us know in the comments section below.
