As the year comes to an end, looking back on the movies released in cinemas this year it's fair to say it's been up and down - some potentially dreadful movies turned out to be far better than anticipated while others were huge disappointments. As well as reflecting on the hits and misses of the last twelve months there's plenty to be excited about in the new year. For one thing, it promises to be a summer in which more than a few tentpole and blockbuster movies with the potential to deliver the goods are finally released, from the next installment of the Avengers franchise to a return to the big screen for cinema's favourite extinct monsters in Jurassic World. Waiting until the summer comes around for the next great cinematic fix is obviously too much to ask, and while there are a few months to go before the studios unleash their big box office guns there are plenty of potentially awesome movies to keep you entertained in the meantime. While it is impossible to predict with 100% certainty whether or not a film will live up to expectations, the following ten movies released next year show a great deal of promise and just might turn out to be unmissable. Roll on 2015 when movie fans will find out for themselves.
