12. Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry

When Louis and Ordell talk in Melanie's apartment, she is watching the movie Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, which starred her father, Peter Fonda. In a later sequence, she can be seen watching the 1977 film Mad Dog Killer.

11. "A Pot To P*ss In..."

Ordell utters the line: "He didn't have a pot to p*ss in or a window to throw it out," which was also spoken by Dick Ritchie in True Romance, which was penned by who else but Quentin Tarantino?

10. Ray Nicolette

In one of the only memorable Hollywood studio crossover appearances, Michael Keaton reprised his character Ray Nicolette - also an Elmore Leonard creation - in Steven Soderberg's Out of Sight (1998), though he was officially uncredited.
