With Us now in cinemas and his excellent-looking revival of The Twilight Zone on its way, Jordan Peele is quickly becoming one of the horror movie creators of our time. He has shown himself adept at blending social commentary, darkness and comedy in a way that is both disarming and genuinely scary at times.
And best of all, the film-maker won't accept the attempts to somehow soften his genre choices. Because he's critically acclaimed, there's some push-back on the fact that he chooses to make outright horror, with some choosing to relabel his films as thrillers. But to Peele, Get Out and Us are horror - make no bones about it.
In years to come, we'll look back on Peele's formative films as the start of a creative dynasty, if his early trajectory is anything to go by, but what do you remember of his mind-bending, body-snatching debut Get Out?
