Ranking May 2017's Movies From Worst To Best
15. Baywatch
RottenTomatoes Score: 19% (4.1/10)
Box Office: Despite the presence of Dwayne "Franchise Viagra" Johnson, the $69 million R-rated big-screen Baywatch reboot pulled in a disappointing $18.1 million in its opening U.S. weekend, far below expectations and ensuring the movie likely won't be the start of a franchise. A rare miss for The Rock.
Verdict: The Rock and Zac Efron's bromantic chemistry is plenty fun, but lacking the crude sweetness or sly intelligence of its most obvious influence, 21 Jump Street, Baywatch is a mostly failed attempt to kick-start a franchise based on the iconic TV show.
It's way too long, the CGI is horrendous, half the cast randomly disappears at one point, the villain's bland, and overall it's just a missed opportunity for all but the most undemanding audiences.
