Roman Polanksi files for dismissal of case against him

Roman Polanski is using evidence from this year's startling documentary ROMAN POLANSKI:WANTED AND DESIRED as part of his evidence in getting the criminal case against him dropped.

"The release of the documentary film, ROMAN POLANSKI: WANTED AND DESIRED, and its aftermath, have revealed a pattern of misconduct and improper communications between the Superior Court and the District Attorney's Office, in violation of the rule of law and without the knowledge of the defendant or his counsel. "This case serves as a classic example of how our justice system can be abused, and defendants' rights trampled, by an unholy alliance between courts and criminal prosecutors."
Polanski, the Academy Award winning director of THE PIANIST is a still a fugitive from the U.S. and has been unable to step foot in America or even the U.K. for fear of extradition for the past thirty years. You can read more about the situation HERE.
