Rudd joins Scott in Big Brother

virgin1.jpgBecause of the presence of frat pack actor Sean William Scott, the comedy movie Big Brother has already been flagged for me as a movie to AVOID next year. But for those interested... Production Weekly are reporting that Paul Rudd (40 Year Old Virgin, Mike in Friends) has signed on to star opposite Scott in Luke Greenfield's Big Brother. It sounds like the story may have changed somewhat since I first reported news of the movie back in September.... According to the site, the film now centers on two thirtysomething bachelors (Scott and Rudd) who still live life as if they were frat boys.... basically lots of sex, lots of drink and zero responsibility. After one of their "romps" gets out of hand, they are sentenced by a judge to enroll in the Big Brother program to clean up their act. The orginial idea was for Scott to play a selfish businessman who develops a father/son relationship with a tough teen he is paired with in the Big Brother program. But surpise, suprise they decided to push the outrageous comedy button and scrapped that idea, to have two characters who will not doubt be full of "toilet humour" jokes. Scott's last live action movie The Dukes of Hazzard was named the worst movie of the 2005 by Richard Roeper, and Roger Ebert named it as his second worst. I find it hard to disagree with those guys, I switched channels after 25 minutes trying to watch it. Absolute garbage. source - production weekly, coming soon
