There's a really juicy rumor that Cinema Blend have heard from one of their 'least sometimes-reliable' scoopers which I really hope is true. They have heard that the great Viggo Mortensen may lead Slyvester Stallone's long gestured biopic of the dark and macabre writer Edgar Allan Poe, after Sly made put an offer out to the actor. Viggo is said to be interested but wants slight revisions made to the script.
Love this news. Stallone's script for POE someone once told me was the best thing had ever written and that's no small compliment when you consider he wrote ROCKY. I really hope Sly is interested in making this as his next film and not a remake of DEATH WISH. I don't really need to see another DEATH SENTENCE/THE BRAVE ONE anytime soon. I'm far more interested in dark character driven Poe movie. While I'm here talking about Stallone, his next movie RAMBO has got itself another new poster. I found this over at
