Rumoured Easter Egg Will Make You See Ant-Man

Time to start setting up Spider-Man!

Ant-Man hasn't been the most anticipated Marvel movie (expect that to change as it gets ever closer though). The film has been on the backfoot for fans ever since Edgar Wright left and while some funny trailers have improved expectations, there's still less buzz around it than previous properties (even Guardians Of The Galaxy this time last year). Well, now it sounds like there's a very real reason to anticipate Paul Rudd commanding an army of picnic-ruiners. The pretty reliable guys over at Latino Review have heard that the film will include some Easter eggs that set up the Spider-Man mythos. Nothing as explicit as the web-crawler himself (that'll have to wait for Captain America: Civil War), but an appearance from evil company OsCorp, potentially as one of the companies looking to buy the shrinking tech from Corey Stoll's Darren Cross. The possibility of this Easter egg greatly increases Ant-Man's stock, but also serves as a reminder to what exactly that ground-breaking deal between Marvel and Sony to share Spider-Man actually means. It's not just the web-crawler who's coming over to the MCU, but his enviable rogues gallery, including supervillain organisation OsCorp and universe big bad Norman Osborn. Also, Marvel themselves have released twelve new stills from the film, which give a better look at some of the ant interactions, the relationship between Cross and Evangeline Lilly's Hope Van Dyne and what looks to be a rather humorous moment when Scott Lang unshrinks in the middle of an anthill. Check them out below.
Ant-Man is out on July 17th, so just over a couple of months left until we find out if this rumour is true or not.
