Sandman: 10 Actors Who Should Appear

JGL needs to give these guys and girls a call.

Active development continues on the Joseph Gordon-Levitt produced film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's seminal comic book fantasy Sandman. After The Dark Knight trilogy and Man of Steel writer David S. Goyer wrote an outline, the upcoming film now has a writer permanently attached. Skins and This Is England '86 and '88 writer Jack Thorne is better known for his work in British TV than large scale features, but he received plenty of critical plaudits for his small screen work including his previous foray into dark fantasy, The Fades, which won a Best Drama Bafta. As yet Thorne is the only other name attached to the project with no director or cast officially signed up, not even JGL himself in any role beyond producer. Last month I made ten suggestions for potential actors for the lead role of Dream. On this list I will put forward possible casting choices for the rest of the roles that a Sandman movie is likely to have. Assuming that Warner Brothers, Gordon-Levitt, Goyer and Thorne are looking for a film that functions well as a set up for the character and a potential franchise that tells the whole story, but also as a standalone story if this is the only Sandman movie that we get, I have presumed a plot that is primarily a combination of the first two volumes: Preludes and Nocturnes, and A Doll's House and cast ten potential roles accordingly. Having said that, I will begin with suggestions for the six other Endless, even those that don't really appear in those first two story arcs.
