Sarah Connor, Boromir & er... Rupert Friend suffer BLACK DEATH

When she's not saving the world from Terminators or giving her body away to spartans, Lena Headey is tackling supernatural thriller's. The Sarah Connor Chronicles and 300 star has signed up to star in BLACK DEATH, the latest movie from Geoffrey Sax (WHITE NOISE, STORMBREAKER) which will shoot later this year from Ecosse Films.

The pshyically capable actress has pretty good company too as Sean Bean and Rupert Friend are also on board, as brothers during the dark ages of Britain... the time of the bubonic plague which Woody Harrelson will remind us is the only thing worse than Chigurah in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. From The Hollywood Reporter...
Friend will play a young monk sent to investigate rumors of people being brought back to life, while Bean plays a mercenary priest who arrives in the same village. Against the backdrop of the peaceful village lies a pact with the forces of darkness, orchestrated by the village ruler (Headey).
So it's historical movie number 5,313 for the great Sean Bean. I also heard this week from The One Ring that he's doing another Sharpe feature length episode in the near future. You know, it's times like these you wish you were a director/producer so you could give some really great material to a superb actor whose career is languishing right now.
