Can you believe
Saw IV begins filming next week? It doesn't feel like five minutes ago I was writing about
Saw III's release, and now they are about to start filming on a fourth movie already. This franchise is a joke. Not even the
Friday the 13th movies churned out their quick buck sequels as fast as this.
Bloody Disgusting are telling us that
Lyriq Bent from
Saw III (he was the cop Rigg) will return for the movie. Also cast is
Gilmore Girls star
Scott Patterson and
Justin Louis, the latter of which will be known to horror fans as the unfortunate husband of
Sarah Polley who appears at the very beginning of the
Dawn of the Dead remake.
Tobin Bell is of course already cast. It's said he has signed on for six movies and the amount of money these movies steal off people (yes, it's stealing... they release the same movie every year for god's sake!!) the franchise could go on even longer than that. It's a sad, sad world we live in when a third Saw movie makes $33,610,391 on it's opening weekend and
Grindhouse makes around a 1/3rd of that number. Is it any wonder the horror genre is in such a huge state of depression right now? source -
