Shia LaBeouf Grows HORNS!

Like his father Stephen King before him, when author Joe Hill has a new book out, Hollywood quickly comes racing. On the back of development deals for his first novel Heart-Shaped Box at Warner Bros and his comic series Locke & Key (which Fox have a pilot forthcoming), Variety say that his latest horror Horns is moving fast into development at Mandalay. A lead star is now attached and he has enough clout that pretty much guarantee's it will be made - Shia LaBeouf. He will play a young guy wonderfully named Ig Perrish who awakens from a black-out hangover to find that he has thorns coming out of his head, Hellboy style. They are growing too, as Ig sets out to discover who murdered his girlfriend and whether that has a relation to the horns that are coming out of his head. Yup it's the kind of story you would expect to be written by a guy who was brought up by the mind behind The Shining and I.T. LaBeouf has really taken to the story and is said to be now semi-spearheading the project, being involved in all departments. The film will be based on playwright Keith Bunin's adaptation but no director is attached yet.
