Six new MACHETE character posters

It has no chance of attracting an audience but kudos anyway to 20th Century Fox for making the effort to create & release no less than six character posters for Robert Rodriguez's cheesy, over-the-top, B-movie action/parody Machete. But wait - haven't they just used the same PSD template from Grindhouse? The excruciatingly awful looking film, Rodriguez's first behind-the-camera effort (he is credited as co-writer/co-director) since the weak Planet Terror; opens in the U.S. on September 3rd and who's it for? Mexicans? Those White-American muscle men who visit the gym and have a penchant for protein shakes? Those lost-souls whose only enjoyment from film these days come from highly sexed, exploitative, gun heavy STV flicks? Has anyone ever paid to see Danny Trejo specifically in a movie? I mean good for him that he's leading a slightly high-profile movie, but he's no Charles Bronson. And great for Rob that he managed to secure Robert De Niro but does one of the greatest living actors walking the Earth really sell tickets these days outside of Ben Stiller comedies? Jessica Alba was interesting for what, like 5 mins back in 2005? Oh great, she's gonna be in Little Fockers too. Hurrah! Steven Seagal actually in a cinematic release? Prison friendly chicks Michelle Rodriguez and Lindsay Lohan - who do they attract for this, and actually the latter didn't even make the trailer and it seems Fox have cut her own character poster after her recent misdemeanors. Surely she is more marketable now? We like Jeff Fahey (probably best known to the general public as Lapdis from Lost) and it'll be great to see him as a major villain but isn't Machete really a half-baked idea for a movie that barely anyone is going to turn up and see?
