Smokin' Aces came out of nowhere last month and soon became one of the first movies I will probably get round to seeing this year... hopefully.
Filmstalker have got the heads up on an early draft of the film which director
Joe Carnahan has uploaded on his
blog. Apparently this is the draft that convinced Universal to make the picture and although there are many differences between this and what ends up on screen (including a completely different ending) it is probably worth a read. To read or not to read, that is the question! The movie comes out next Friday here in the UK, so it might be a little foolish of me to read the script so close to it's release date. Then again, if they have changed so much of it then, will it do any harm? Truth is, I probably haven't got time to read it with my uni deadlines being next Monday.
