Sounds Like Spider-Man's Costume For Captain America: Civil War Is Partly CGI

Iron Spider, perhaps?

It appears that CGI is being used for Spider-Man's appearance in Captain America: Civil War. For what purpose we don't yet know. It could be something as simple as making his eye-pieces CGI, a la Deadpool in his upcoming movie. Or, we could finally be seeing some webbing under Spidey's armpits? This latest bit of speculation comes from co-director Anthony Russo, who dropped some nuggets in an interview with Brazilian site Super Interessante at Comic-Con Experience 2015, stating;
"Tom Holland is an amazing Spider-Man, people will love it... It was a very experimental process, placing it with other actors, especially with Downey Jr., we were learning as we did and are very happy with the result. But we are still working on some things, like the uniform. He's not ready because so much will be produced with special effects.€
There could be something lost in translation there, as Russo's words have gone into Portuguese and back again, but 'special effects' is going to be easy to get across in any dialect. Intriguing. Russo also responded to the question of whether the Iron Spider costume (the narcissistic onesie that Tony Stark gifted to Peter Parker shortly before the outbreak of the Civil War in the comics) will make an appearance, with an answer vague enough to warrant a nice, long "hmm":
€œThe film will show a mix of what everyone is waiting for and a little twist, so yeah, that's what I can tell."
There's obviously something exciting in the works there! Does this mean that Spider-Man will be involved enough to actually pick a side? Maybe, although what Russo is talking about could amount to something as simple as an Iron Spider suit hanging up in Tony's workshop and a throwaway line of dialogue (similar to the appearance of Cap's shield in Iron Man 1 & 2 - an "I'm designing it for that kid in Queens" kind-of-thing. Although that'd be enough for me. Captain America: Civil War is released in the UK on 29th April 2016 and in the US on 6th May.
