"How did you become a doctor...?"

Doctor Strange Trailer

After Warner Brothers' scintillating Hall H Panel at Comic Con, the ball was firmly in Marvel’s court to impress. Despite claiming they wouldn’t be posting any of the footage online, thankfully shortly after the panel concluded, the brand spanking new Doctor Strange trailer did debut on Youtube.

And again, it looks great, combining supernatural spirit with incredible effects and a very compelling central story of redemption and mystery.

Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is arguably the most difficult sell yet for Marvel, combining eastern mysticism with the general spectacle of a Hollywood blockbuster in a further attempt to widen and diversify their cinematic universe.

Judging by the trailer, they may have achieved the impossible; combining Inception-like imagery with a stellar cast and Marvel’s trademark humour, Doctor Strange is gearing up to be one acid trip of a movie.

Spellbinding stuff.

“Marvel's Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City's Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe."

Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson and hits screens worldwide November 4th 2016.
