Spider-Man: 5 Things Marvel Will Miss From The Amazing Series

The prodigal son has returned to Marvel Studios, but what will be missed from Sony's reboot series?

Now that the dust has settled on the news that Spider-Man will soon be joining Marvel's cinematic roster, casting rumours are everywhere, and the wall-crawler will make his first crossover appearance in Captain America: Civil War in 2016, a short while before the newest Spidey reboot hits the big screen the year after. A big side effect of this deal between Marvel and Sony is that Marc Webb's Amazing series has been cut short; the Spider-Man story he wanted to show audiences only half told. While the upcoming addition to the MCU is obviously exciting, there will be a few things that the next incarnation of the character will miss from Webb's series. With so much future planning embedded in his series from day one, it wasn't hugely surprising that the first two movies failed to capture the attention of audiences who proved to be more impatient than the franchise could handle. Several elements of Webb's Spidey work were well done, however, and are likely to be sadly missing from the latest in an unfortunate line of reboots. Here are the five most glaring things from Sony's last solo attempt Marvel just won't capture.
