Spidey gets an upgrade.

Spider-Man: Homecoming isn't too far away now, and so Marvel Studios has dropped a pair of final trailers for the movie, one aimed at the domestic market and an additional international trailer which includes an extra opening tag and some crucial new information about the film's villain.

Though Homecoming is arriving on a more muted wave of hype than most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, in part due to a fairly middling marketing campaign so far, Marvel are clearly slamming into full gear now with their final advertising push.

This pair of trailers provides a greater glimpse of Homecoming's tone and cast, even if it remains to be seen whether or not it can totally avoid the pitfalls of the last three solo Spidey outings.

4. Too Many Gadgets

Spiderman Homecoming AI

The domestic trailer opens with the reveal that Spidey's suit has received some nifty upgrades since the last time audiences saw it, now equipped with a Jarvis-esque AI system which informs him of his strategic battle options.

Later on we not only see the AI deploying a parachute after Vulture drops him out of the sky, but Spidey also sends out a spider drone to perform some reconnaissance.

Though it seems likely that these flourishes will get ditched eventually, what with Tony Stark taking the suit back, it still seems too much to give Spidey so many fancy tech-centric enhancements from the outset, as it could easily undermine the role Peter's intelligence has in his heroism.

Plus, Tony knocks out these suits so frequently now that it's starting to feel a little ridiculous. Less is more sometimes.
