Not his finest moment...

Spider-Man: Homecoming has a number of surprising elements to it, including a couple of big cameos, some surprising character appearances teasing future story-lines and two great twists. One thing that shouldn't come as a surprise is the fact that Marvel supremo Stan Lee appears in his usual cameo.

Inevitably, there's a special level of interest in what Lee is up to in every MCU movie - even for those who aren't particularly inclined to see Spider-Man: Homecoming. Sadly for those people, the Homecoming cameo is not one of Lee's finest moments in Marvel movies.

During the sequence that sees Spider-Man doing his best to live up to Tony Stark's challenge to be just a "Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man", we see him foiling small-time crimes like bike theft. He also tries to stop a car theft only to discover the "thief" is actually the car owner who has accidentally set off his alarm (something we learn he does all the time).

As the "thief" complains, his neighbours poke their heads out of their windows to complain about the noise of the car alarm, including Stan Lee playing an old man called Gary who voices his displeasure and then flirts with an older lady across the street.

Again, it's not the best cameo, especially considering how clever the Doctor Strange and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 cameos were. But then they can't all be home runs.
