Star Trek Into Darkness: New Cinemosaic Poster Unveiled

Remember when posters were just a plain two dimensional image? A singular, simple, composed piece of art with a catchy tag line to attract your attention and sell the film? Well, we are in the future now and - although we might not have flying cards - we have Cinemosaic. A few short weeks ago, we saw the Star Trek Into Darkness ''motion'' poster and you can forget about that as we now have a new, stunning "Cinemosaic" to look at. It takes the newly-released Benedict Cumberbatch poster with him looking menacing and threatning with the words ''Earth Will Fall,'' but turns it into what we used to call - in the 1990s - a video wall. Separate images from the trailers flip around to make a poster that will surly become an industry standard as it looks really cool and grabs your attention for much longer. So add Cinemosaic to your vocabulary, okay? The publicity for Star Trek Into Darkness has been top notch. The steady drip feed of information that kept everyone guessing and arguing over details, combined with the bespoke viral campaigns and it really sets the bar high for other blockbusters being released this summer. Man Of Steel and Iron Man 3 have big viral campaign shoes to fill. Tickets have gone on sale for Star Trek Into Darkness already, and they can be booked now from any cinema or from the official Star Trek Into Darkness website. If you plan to see it in IMAX (everyone should) then get booking ASAP, as demand has already been super high (many have reportedly been complaining that the London IMAX booking line has been unable to handle the pressure thus far). Star Trek Into Darkness is released in IMAX 3D, 3D and 2D cinemas on May 9th in the UK and May 17th in the US.
