Star Wars: 15 Moments That Pissed Off Every Fan

There's pretty much no movie franchise with as passionate a fanbase as Star Wars, not even the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The fans will cling to every last canonical word, and for all of the highs they'll celebrate, there are also plenty of less-than-brilliant moments they won't ever stop decrying.

These 15 moments from the movies to date typify the creative inconsistency of George Lucas, as well as the compromise-driven nature of big-budget Hollywood filmmaking.

While not all of these moments immediately ruin the films they're in, they almost certainly left your blood pressure at least slightly raised, wondering who the hell gave them the green light and why George Lucas didn't have some bold creative types around him, rather than "yes" men.

15. "Nooooooo!" (Revenge Of The Sith)

Upon learning from Darth Sidious that Padme has died, apparently at his own hand, Darth Vader breaks free from his restraints and utters a pained "Noooooooo!"

It basically derails an otherwise extremely cool and super-important origin scene for one of the most iconic figures in pop-culture.

Everyone and their uncle has made fun of the scene by now, and it's simply staggering that Lucas didn't realise how dumb it sounded in post-production. Seriously, just cutting the line and having Vader silently fall down in anguish would've been a lot less stupid.

Could nobody just get James Earl Jones back into a recording booth? You'd think a $100+ million movie would be able to hook that up. Then again, there's the other, more horrifying possibility, that Lucas actually thought it sounded good.
