Is Star Wars 7 Subtitled "An Ancient Fear?"

This working title refers to the movie's villainous Max von Sydow, says an unnamed source.

Now that the official cast list has been unveiled for the long-awaited Star Wars: Episode VIl and the movie is set to start shooting in a few short weeks, it was only a matter of time until rumours regarding the film's title would start doing the rounds. A while back, fans speculated that Episode VII might borrow its title from a 1996 Lucasfilm project, Shadows of the Empire, but it seems that another title has might have been opted for instead. According to reports from Ain't It Cool News, the film's current working title is "Star Wars: Episode VII: An Ancient Fear." Um... okay? According the same unidentified sources, this refers to Max von Sydow's currently unnamed villain character. It's important to recognise that at this stage there's absolutely no confirmation from either Disney or anyone involved over at Team Star Wars as to the legitimacy of this working title. For all we can tell, it sounds a little iffy, given that "An Ancient Fear" is pretty terrible as far as subtitles go - even old George Lucas made up more intriguing subtitles when he conjured up the likes of "The Phantom Menance" and "Attack of the Clones." That's to say, it isn't very catchy, is it? Starring John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker, Star Wars: Episode VII is set for worldwide release on December 18, 2015. What do you make of the title? Think it sounds good? Or is it plainly naff? Let us know in the comments section below.
