Star Wars Episode 8: Rian Johnson Confirms Who "The Last Jedi" Is
It's not Rey.
It's time for the Jedi speculation... to end.
After months of complex analysis of what the title of Star Wars: Episode VIII means, Rian Johnson has reiterated that there's a simple meaning behind it.
The director was in the midst of a tweet-storm around the release of the exceptional The Last Jedi trailer when Vanity Fair took the opportunity to tweeted out an article from May that saw them unsuccessfully asking Kathleen Kennedy and Johnson to reveal the meaning of the title...
They're wrong though, it's not that difficult, as Johnson proved almost immediately by responding succinctly...
So there you have it - definitive, word-of-God proof that Luke Skywalker is the Last Jedi, not Rey, not Snoke, not Kylo, not a Porg... So maybe now we can move on to the real questions posed by the film's marketing, like what Porgs taste like, when Chewie is going to eat that Porg and why aren't there more Porgs in it?
All crucial quandaries.
