Star Wars Episode VII: 7 Things We Learned In 2013

Here's a recap of what we learned about our favourite galaxy far, far away over the course of 2013.

Star Wars fans were dazzled with a countless number of rumors and possibilities in regards to casting, plot, locations and spin-off ideas over the course of 2013. Still, all said and done, what fans now know about the cold hard facts of the new Star Wars film actually amounts to very little. Though we were bombarded with rumors with regards to legitimate casting announcements, story details and even a potential title, nothing has been set in stone - we're still playing something of a guessing game. Because Comic Con in San Diego came and went without a peep. Celebration Europe revealed no new details about the upcoming project in regards to story or plot. D23, the official fan club and expo for the Walt Disney Company, was a last opportunity to reveal something to the fans to hold on to for the upcoming release, and yet... nada. Alas, the whole year passed by like a mysterious shroud of the Dark Side, where the cloak of Sith secrecy prevails. Darth Sidious would have been proud. So, no, although fans did not learn much in regards to story details about Episode VII, there were a few straws to cling to in regards to production information.
