Star Wars: Ranking The Lightsaber Battles From Worst To Best

11. Obi-Wan Vs General Grievous - Revenge Of The Sith

Even more cyborg than Darth Vader, the wheezing, jedi killing General Grievous made an instant impression on us as a villain. A mostly robot general for a robot army, Grievous led the forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems (Trade Federation), appearing as one of the main antagonists in Star Wars: Clone Wars. Otherwise he was just another paper-thin bad guy the prequels tossed aside within minutes of screen time. Why does his duel with Obi-Wan rank as the worst clash of light swords in the galaxy? For starters, this showdown was silly to the point of slapstick. Known for being cautious, why does Obi-Wan leap into a hangar full of enemies? Grievous could have easily just ordered all his robots to shoot Obi-Wan at the same time. By the time Grievous finishes monologuing, Obi-Wan could have cut his head off. Unfortunately, once the duel begins, it's entirely too predictable and entirely too short. How does Obi-Wan defeat a robot with four arms? Slices them off one at a time of course.
