Star Wars: Ranking The Lightsaber Battles From Worst To Best

9. Anakin & Obi-Wan Vs Count Dooku - Revenge Of The Sith

When did you know Revenge Of The Sith was going to be the best prequel? In the first five minutes. Episode III's explosive beginning ends with another showdown between Anakin, Obi-wan, and Count Dooku. The last time they faced him, the dark lord practically crushed both Jedi, but this time Anakin gets the upper-hand (pun intended) when he slices Dooku's limbs off at the wrists. Anakin is then torn between his desire for revenge and what he knows is right. Goaded by Palpatine he cuts Dooku's head off €“ in the coolest way possible €“ and takes his first major step toward the dark side. Just one of the many moments that sets Revenge of the Sith far above it's first two predecessors. However, it could have been better. What if Darth Maul hadn't died, Count Dooku didn't exist, and Anakin was cutting off Maul's head instead? Therefore taking revenge for Qui-Gon and committing a Jedi sin even Obi-Wan might feel is justified. What if indeed.
