Star Wars Rogue One: 10 Big Questions From What We Know So Far

Is Boba Fett really in it?

Thanks to the mostly-positive reaction to The Force Awakens, anticipation is building in earnest for the next cinematic Lucasfilm release, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It€™ll reach cinemas remarkably soon, on 16th December this year, yet very little has been revealed about what the spin-off-prequel will actually look like. It€™s known that the movie will focus on the Rebel plot to steal the plans to the first Death Star, teeing up the events of George Lucas€™ original 1977 Star Wars movie (the one that is now dubbed A New Hope). Beyond that, nobody knows much about what Gareth Edwards, Felicity Jones and their cohorts are plotting. It's a mysterious movie, by all accounts. So, while everyone patiently waits for a Rogue One trailer (or even just a few more images), here are the ten biggest questions that need answering about the movie€

10. Are They Rebels Or Bounty Hunters?

News outlets can€™t seem to agree on this one, making it impossible to tell exactly who the band of darkly-clothed characters at the centre of Rogue One actually are. Is this a group of Rebels attempting to dress incognito, or are they a group of mercenaries and bounty hunters that Princess Leia€™s Rebellion have hired to get the job done? Either possibility has storytelling potential. If they€™re goodie-two-shoes Rebellion agents, a mission this dark and dangerous could push them right out of their collective comfort zone. But if they€™re bounty hunters, Rogue One could present a reluctant camaraderie between crooks and lowlifes, not unlike the events of Guardians Of The Galaxy or Suicide Squad. Rumours seem to point, at least, to Forest Whitaker€™s character being a bounty hunter (some seem to think he€™ll be a shady gun for hire with robot legs and a walking stick). Perhaps, then, the answer to this one is €˜a bit of both.€™ Maybe a few Rebels will try to wrangle a collection of bounty hunters, giving us the best of both worlds. Sounds good!
