Star Wars: Rogue One - 24 Images From Celebration You Must See

Death Troopers, TIE Strikers and Krennic, oh my!

Death Trooper HEader

Star Wars Celebration Europe may not have delivered the title of Episode 8 or on the much-wanted Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off, but it was a bona-fide mecca for Star Wars fans and the information released for the upcoming Star Wars expanded universe was like actual currency.

We now know more about the Han Solo audition process, about some of what to expect from Episode VIII and most immediately excitingly, about Rogue One's characters, planets and storyline. As well as learning new character bios and some of the bridges between the characters, Celebration also unveiled an exhibition dedicated to the Rogue One characters and vehicles.

There were revelations in there: like Krennic's ship, the new TIE Striker and a closer look at the iconic Death Trooper, and the exhibition deserves to be shared with every Star Wars fan. Luckily, our own Alex Leadbeater was in attendance, and he took lots of lovely pictures.

Here are the images and revelations from the Rogue One display at Star Wars Celebration Europe...

24. Director Krennic

That white cloak is really very striking: having seen black play such a strong role in establishing the mythology of one major villain, this inversion is both strange and terrifying. As if Krennic is some sort of avenging angel rather than an obvious agent of evil.

His biography reads a such:

"As director of Advanced Weapons Research for the Imperial military, Orson Krennic is obsessed with the completion of the long-delayed Death Star project. A cruel but brilliant man, Krennic has staked his reputation on the delivery of the functional battle station to the Emperor."

Presumably his reputation ends up as blemished as his cloak by the end of things.
