Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Awesome Things (That Won’t Happen)

Irresistible, but utterly false, unfortunately.

The Star Wars Expanded Universe is dead.. .long live the Sequel Trilogy. With the long awaited seventh instalment in the Star Wars Saga, The Force Awakens, there was hardly anywhere to take the story with an extensive future of novels, games, and comics outlining the future of everyone's favourite Rebels, Jedis, and Siths that wouldn't be highly predictable and constrained by years of canon and expectations. While this leaves millions cheering for the newly resurrected Chewbacca it also leaves room for speculation about which elements from the newly dubbed "Star Wars Legends" line might be thrown into Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Sure, fans could spend their time thinking about what might be included and drawn upon from the former canon in the new films, but where's the fun in that? From connecting the dots of character relationships to unraveling the mysteries left unsolved to blowing up things fans might not have considered destroying, fans can have a blast speculating about amazing plot lines that almost certainly won't be included in the next film. Stringing a few outlandish ideas together might even make for a more viable plot than whatever eventually comes to fruition on the silver screen. While ridiculous ideas like Ewok Senators or Chewbacca going fishing are most certainly not happening, they are far from awesome. With a little thought and the addition of fan favorite characters and long-cherished locations from the canon and non-canon Star Wars mythos, a bunch of fantastic storylines that are most likely not going to happen can be generated.
