10. Rey Is Luke's Daughter No.1 - The Voices During The Dream Sequence
Chances are as Rey's flashback/forward happened, you were blown away just trying to comprehend the mash-up intense imagery to comprehend the audible components, but on repeat viewings - and thanks to JJ Abrams laying things out in subsequent interviews - there's more to it than just visuals. Firstly, although it's whispered and hard to hear over the action onscreen, Yoda voice actor Frank Oz cameos to discuss the Force by mentioning in short bursts the "energy" that "binds us", before both Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor 'team up' for another line. See, Guinness passed away in 2000, but J.J.'s crew apparently took a clip from an old recording of his, saying the word "Afraid", to which they clipped to get "Rey". McGregor on the other hand actually recorded new dialogue, saying "...these are your first steps". So the final line you get, with both Alec and Ewan combined as the flashback concludes, is "Rey... these are your first steps". How awesome is that? It's one hell of a lead on her being the focus of the next film too, and thanks to the Jedi royalty she's hearing, most likely a Skywalker to boot.
