Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Things Everybody Missed In The New Trailer

9. There's Aurebesh Writing On Poe Dameron

Like the first teaser, the trailer once again shows Oscar Issac's Poe Dameron, the self-professed "best freaking pilot in the galaxy" leading a squad of X-Wings across a lake on the film's wooded planet (Yavin? Endor?). This time, instead of looking serious and urgent, Dameron's really getting into it, enjoying spinning the ship (well, it is a good trick). Beyond the new X-Wings, there's a lot of cool visual designs in this shot. Behind Poe to his left is a docked targeting computer, similar to the one Luke used in A New Hope, while, as seen in the previous tease, the pilot get up has been changed somewhat - the flight suits are a darker shade of red and the helmets are black (instead of the previous grey). What's of real note, however, is the Aurebesh writing on his flight suit, on his left just below the Rebel insignia. Aurebesh is the writing in the Star Wars galaxy, their way of representing Basic (English), first seen in Role Playing Games in the nineties before becoming a part of the movie world in the Special Editions and Prequels. The text on Poe reads "pull to inflate" - it's a parachute/lifebelt.
