When the first teaser dropped for J.J. Abrams' new Star Wars movie last year, it looked like we'd be in for a real treat. A perfect fusion of new material and nostalgia. Everything old is new again. We're still a month away from seeing the full thing at the multiplex, but Episode VII has already thrown a bunch of surprises our way in all the trailers domestic and international and promos we've seen along the way. And with a lot of questions that still need answering, Abrams has no doubt kept even more in the tank for next month's release.
Honourable Mention: Where's Luke?
It had to be said. One of the big surprises surrounding the marketing of The Force Awakens has been the relative absence of Luke. Is this his hand? Have we already seen him? Or is this shot designed to throw us off, and he's being saved for the film? Just one more month till our questions are answered.
Movie / TV enthusiast with a DVD and Blu-ray collection bigger than I'd care to admit. If anyone is offering creative / furniture solutions to house them, I'm all ears.
