6. Finn's Family Link

On the surface, it might seem that the question of Finn's name being important was answered by the revelation that he hasn't actually got one, but there might still be more to Abrams' hint that his lack of a surname was a conscious choice. It wasn't explored in detail, but it was established that Finn would have been stolen from his family before "joining" the First Order. Given the quick revelation of Kylo Ren's family ties and the heavy sign-posting that Rey is Luke's daughter, there is still room for another twist relating to family trees. Will it be revealed that he's related to an established character/family? Does it really matter? Regardless of who they are, Finn should find some answers to the question of who he is; possibly including a reunion with his family. That might go some way to atoning for the fact that the Resistance merrily killed a load of children who were kidnapped from their families and forced into military service...
