Star Wars: The Last Jedi is only matter of weeks away, and Disney has already put some of its cards on the table in the movie's epic trailers and the teaser footage it's gradually doling out in the run-up to December 15.
The Force Awakens left dozens of unresolved plot threads behind, from the mystery surrounding Rey's parentage to the true identity of Supreme Leader Snoke, and the sequel's promotional campaign has only added to the intrigue and raised a few burning questions of its own.
So far, the trailers have revealed that Luke Skywalker will train Rey on Ahch-To, but they have also hinted at tensions in their mentor-student relationship. Kylo Ren, meanwhile, will continue to grapple with his inner demons and may even convince a conflicted Rey to defect to the First Order.
Porgs, mysterious ice foxes, and an epic battle involving AT-ATs and TIE fighters have also been teased, but it also feels like there are cards the film is keeping close to its chest, juicy details that have deliberately been withheld from the trailers.
In some respects, the preview footage has only made some of the movie's burning questions turn into smouldering infernos.
