It's finally here.

It's felt like a hell of a long time since that first teaser for The Last Jedi arrived at Star Wars Celebration, and even with a behind-the-scenes look in July it hasn't been enough to ease the wait for VIII.

Now all that's changed with our biggest and best look thus far at Rian Johnson's upcoming episode.

As accidentally revealed by Mark Hamill a couple of weeks back, the new trailer aired during Monday Night Football, and it did not disappoint. It does touch on a number of plot beats, especially a seemingly major one concerning Snoke, but mostly it's a teaser that's heavy on hinting and setting the tone rather than spoiling things.

Just like the first teaser, the focus remains very much on Rey and Luke, but there's a whole lot more of Kylo Ren in this one too, once again establishing those three as the central figures of the movie. It's light on new characters - outside of the Porgs - but almost all of our returning favourites are given their moment, from Finn's clash with an old foe to Leia's connection with her son, all accompanied by John Williams' glorious score.

There's a heck of a lot to unpack, so let's give the trailer a 2nd (or 10th, or 100th) watch and get into it.
